Regulation & safe operation
Operated as plant, to a defined method.
A HERU unit is building infrastructure. It is installed, commissioned, maintained and operated to a defined specification, by trained personnel, in the same way as other building plant.
Safe operation
- Installed and commissioned as building plant
- Operated under a prescribed operating method specified by HERU
- Restricted to authorised materials defined by that method
- Operator training provided as part of installation
- Maintained on a defined servicing schedule
Product certification
HERU is designed for UKCA and CE certification for deployment in the UK and relevant European markets.
For deployment in other countries, HERU will be assessed, tested and approved against the applicable local technical, safety and regulatory standards before commercial use.
Market entry will therefore be managed on a jurisdiction-by-jurisdiction basis.
Regulatory position
HERU is designed to operate only in accordance with its prescribed operating method and authorised materials requirements.
The regulatory requirements applicable to any installation may depend on the application, location and jurisdiction and will be considered as part of project development, certification and commissioning.
Detailed technical and regulatory information can be made available to relevant customers, engineers, certifying bodies and regulators where required.
